Our Everlasting Father and Our Only Need

It only seems fair to become angry with Christ when things don’t go our way right?

What about:
Our job that we just started
Our grandparent that we would give anything to see, but can’t
Our trip that we have spent a countless amount of time preparing for
Our relationships that are just beginning
The list can go on and on.

One thing has not changed through the best and worst times.
Christ’s love for us has remained the same through it all.
OUR God has the power to turn fear into assurance.

So if we have God, why are we scared?
Is it our fear that we are going to run out of time?
Is it anger that all our steps forward now seem like they were done for nothing?

Right now people are losing their jobs.
Right now people are losing relationships.
Right now people are losing their lives.
Right now people are losing hope.

I would be lying if I did not say that for a long time, I don’t think that I really saw many positives about "right now."
I was supposed to be on the way to Uganda at the end of next month.
Now, this sickness has spread to Uganda.
I couldn’t help but wonder: How could he take away something that he has made me so passionate about? How could he allow such sickness to reach such a beautiful country with such beautiful people?

Now this is where the Lord made me step back and realize:
Friends? A gift from God
School? A gift from God
Family? A gift from God
My heart for Uganda? A gift from God
There is one thing that all of these things have in common.
They are gifts that God has blessed us with.

We allow ourselves to believe that we cannot be the best versions of ourselves without them.

We were made to only NEED one thing: Jesus Christ
Only one thing can ASSURE everlasting life: faith in the Lord
And there is one thing that has not changed at any point of time in all of history: God always wins.

Allow your mind to rest assured; the Lord of the universe is in complete control of this all.

We have no other job than to praise and glorify His name every breath of every day, because he is not going anywhere and nor should our faith in Him that brings nothing but light.

1 Corinthians 13:2-7 "And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
